A Letter Concering the processing of amalgam waste

Because of recent changes in
amalgam processing regulations, we would like provide you with information
that should assist you in completing any necessary paperwork concerning the
disposal of your amalgam waste. When
we purchase your non-contact amalgam scrap, it is placed in a secure plastic bag. The
material is weighed and payment is made at that time. Any wet amalgam will
collectively be dried through an evaporation process. No heating or
appliances are used to dry the amalgam. The dry amalgam is placed in a gallon
size plastic container where it is securely sealed. When the container is
filled it is sent to Mercury Refining located in Albany, New York for processing.
